FORECAST
Much like it has been over the last week, the next seven days promises to feature lots of ups and downs. Mother Nature will once again have us on our toes.
🥶COLD, BLUSTERY MUCH OF TODAY🥶
A cold front yesterday has knocked temperatures down into the 30s and 40s. Gusty winds are making it feel even colder. Wind chill values will be in the 30s most of the day. Meantime, skies are forecast to stay mostly cloudy, keeping temperatures from warming much at all.
💘COLD FOR VALENTINE’S DAY, TOO💘
Cloud cover will hold much of Friday, as well. While winds will die down some, temperatures are forecast to stay cold. Highs on Friday will only reach the upper-40s. A stray shower or two will be possible throughout the day.
🎢UP & DOWN WEEKEND🎢
Get ready to take another weather-coaster ride this weekend. Saturday will see clearing skies and significant warm-up. Highs are forecast to reach the mid-70s. However, yet another cold front will blow through the area pre-sunrise on Sunday. That’ll knock temps back into the 50s, with gusty winds, for the second half of the weekend.
❄❓WINTER BLAST NEXT WEEK❓❄
That question mark above is there because we’ve yet to gain a ton of consistency in our data. With that said, we are starting to see indications of a stronger front affecting South Texas Tuesday night. With this front, temps are forecast to dip into the 30s on Wednesday. This *could* coincide with some moisture, with some models pointing at a small chance at some wintry precipitation. A freeze will also be possible. This will be a “check back with us” type situation, as this forecast evolves a bit. We’ll definitely keep you posted.
