FORECAST
Good morning! Skies remain cloudy, as patchy fog has developed around the area. While we don’t expect the fog to be a big issue, know that visibility could be reduced in spots. Clouds, like yesterday, will be hard to shake. Regardless, temperatures will reach the upper-60s. Some sunshine is possible this afternoon.
WARM WEEKEND, COLD FRONT LATE SUNDAY
Saturday will look a lot like Friday; fog early, then a mostly cloudy, warm afternoon (highs near 70). Sunday, dry air pushes in midday, then a cold front will sweep through the area bringing colder air by the evening hours. It’ll also turn windy.
BLUSTERY MONDAY
Back to work and back to school Monday will require a good winter jacket. Monday morning, temperatures are forecast to be in the mid-30s, while gusty winds will create wind chill values in the 20s. Full sun will allow temperatures to rebound to near 50 by the afternoon.
LIGHT MORNING FREEZE(S)
With clear skies, Tuesday morning looks to bring freezing temperatures. As of now, we are calling for a low of 30° in San Antonio, meaning we could see a few hours below freezing through sunrise. Tuesday and Wednesday mornings will need to be watched for possible light freezes, as well.
WET WEATHER LOOKS INCREASINGLY LIKELY LATE NEXT WEEK
A storm system will arrive to the area on Wednesday of next week. It’ll provide lift across the area, especially on Thursday. The odds of seeing precipitation are going up. However, in what form that precipitation will be remains a question. As of now, temperatures may be just warm enough to give us just a cold rain for San Antonio. The margin, however, is razor thin and a wintry mix cannot be ruled out. Unfortunately, as we’ve been saying, it’ll likely take until late in the weekend or next week before we can get more clarity.
