FORECAST:
Good morning! Somehow we managed to miss out on most of the rainfall the last several days, meaning we’ll end the year with quite a deficit (that’s the third year in a row). Rain stays out of the forecast as we head into the new year. The big story, instead, will be temperatures. Yesterday we had a record high (83) in San Antonio. It’ll be a few degrees cooler today, but still warm. Expect mostly sunny skies and highs near 80.
Tomorrow, we are forecasting record-setting heat. Mid-80s are likely, with the record for the date being 83, set back in 1951.
Ready for cooler weather? A cold front will slide through by Tuesday morning, just in time for New Year’s Eve. It’ll knock down high temperatures about 10-15 degrees, give us some breezy winds, and cooler mornings.
As for NYE celebrations, it’ll be around 50 when we welcome in the new year, with mostly clear skies. You’ll probably want to grab a light jacket if you’ll be celebrating outdoors.
Have a great day!
