540 PM CDT Sat Jul 13 2024 The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a * Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of Northern Minnesota Southeast North Dakota * Effective this Saturday afternoon from 540 PM until Midnight CDT. * Primary threats include... Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 2 inches in diameter possible Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible A tornado or two possible SUMMARY...Thunderstorms will continue to develop this evening while
posing a threat for both large hail mainly 1-1.75 inches in diameter
and severe/damaging winds around 60-70 mph. A tornado or two may
also occur. The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 75
statute miles east and west of a line from 80 miles north northeast
of Bemidji MN to 35 miles south southeast of Detroit Lakes MN. For a

track southeastward across the watch area through the afternoon and
early evening. The strongest storms will pose a risk of locally
