Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible Isolated very large hail events to 2 inches in diameter possible SUMMARY...The best-organized part of a thunderstorm complex has been
producing large hail and measured severe gusts in and near the Twin
Cities over the past 1-2 hours, and may maintain severe potential
southeastward through the watch area before weakening. Isolated
severe hail also is possible from somewhat less-organized convection
to its east and southeast. The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 40
statute miles north and south of a line from 5 miles west southwest
of Rochester MN to 50 miles east northeast of La Crosse WI. For a

southeastward from northwest into central South Dakota through the
overnight hours. Scattered severe/damaging winds appear likely, with
some significant gusts up to around 85 mph possible. Isolated severe
