The name “Debby” has appeared on lists managed World Meteorological Organization since at least the early 1980s. In 2012, the system formed in the Gulf of Mexico and struck Florida’s Gulf Coast. The cyclone caused record amounts of rain across North-Central Florida and led to the deaths of at least 7 people in the state.
