Photos shot in the West Palm Beach area show damage from a tornado that formed as Hurricane Milton approached Florida Wednesday.

Hurricane Milton made landfall late Wednesday evening south of Tampa on Wednesday evening. The hurricane brought storm surge flooding and a tornado outbreak, which produced more than a dozen twisters across central and southern Florida.

A video shared by the Florida Highway Patrol shows a dog abandoned along Interstate 75 north of Tampa Wednesday morning, as Hurricane Milton moves closer to the Sunshine State.

As if historic storm surge and hurricane-force winds weren’t enough, residents of Fort Myers had to deal with even more crazy weather from Milton as a tornado was said to have plowed a neighborhood on Wednesday afternoon.
