Stormy Weather On the Horizon

Today, the weather in Texas is shaping up to be much calmer! We can expect northerly winds, gusting up to 25 MPH, a lovely change from the wild 50+ MPH we experienced over the past few days. This slight dip in wind speed is a bit of good news, helping to ease the wildfire danger a little, though we still need to keep an eye on things because of the low humidity. As we look to Friday, southerly winds will make their return, and we’ll be back on that temperature roller-coaster which keeps things interesting!

Looking ahead, a cold front is set to arrive on Sunday, bringing the chance of scattered thunderstorms across the eastern third to half of Texas as it moves south. Some of these storms could pack a punch with large hail and windy conditions. However, it looks like we’ll finally be stepping into a more dynamic weather pattern, especially for the southeastern half of Texas, as we move into the second half of next week!
