Severe thunderstorms will be possible by lunch-time in Northwest Texas, Texoma, and Texoma. Some storms may be severe, with large hail, damaging winds, and a tornado threat. Storms will track into Northeast Texas later this afternoon.

This evening, a line of thunderstorms will fire up along a southeastward-moving cold front from Northeast Texas southwest through North Texas, Central Texas, the Hill Country, and Edwards Plateau. Some of those storms could produce strong winds, hail, and heavy rain. Those storms will move southeast/east tonight into Tuesday morning across the eastern half of Texas. Some rain will remain possible Tuesday morning across the eastern third of Texas, but we expect most weather impacts to end by lunchtime tomorrow as colder air filters into the state.
Speaking of colder air, snow may fly in the northwestern Texas Panhandle this afternoon and tonight! Around an inch of wet snow is possible in Dalhart. Wednesday looks quiet before our next storm system brings rain, storms, and maybe a bit of frozen precipitation to Texas on Thursday and Friday.
