SEL9 URGENT - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED Tornado Watch Number 119 NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK 850 PM CDT Fri Apr 4 2025 The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a * Tornado Watch for portions of Arkansas Northwest Louisiana Missouri Bootheel Northwest Tennessee Northeast Texas * Effective this Friday night and Saturday morning from 850 PM until 400 AM CDT. * Primary threats include... A few tornadoes and a couple intense tornadoes likely Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph likely Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 2 inches in diameter possible SUMMARY...A line of occasionally intense thunderstorms with embedded supercells will track slowly eastward across the watch area overnight. Favorable instability and shear profiles will maintain a risk of a few tornadoes, along with damaging winds and large hail. The tornado watch area is approximately along and 55 statute miles east and west of a line from 30 miles south of Longview TX to 40 miles northeast of Walnut Ridge AR.
