 SEL0 URGENT - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED Severe Thunderstorm Watch Number 630 NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK 1250 PM MDT Sat Aug 17 2024 The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a * Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of Western and Central Utah Southwest Wyoming * Effective this Saturday afternoon and evening from 1250 PM until 700 PM MDT. * Primary threats include... Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph likely Isolated large hail events to 1.5 inches in diameter possible SUMMARY...Clusters of thunderstorms will spread across much of Utah this afternoon and early evening, posing a risk of locally damaging wind gusts and hail. The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 70 statute miles east and west of a line from 40 miles east of Saint George UT to 25 miles northeast of Salt Lake City UT.
