 SEL2 URGENT - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED Severe Thunderstorm Watch Number 362 NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK 525 PM CDT Fri May 31 2024 The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a * Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of West Central Texas * Effective this Friday afternoon and evening from 525 PM until 1100 PM CDT. * Primary threats include... Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 2.5 inches in diameter possible Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible SUMMARY...A cluster of intense thunderstorms has formed over west central Texas along a weak boundary. These storms may persist for several hours, tracking southeastward across the watch area. Large hail and damaging winds appear to be the main risks. The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 45 statute miles north and south of a line from 25 miles west of San Angelo TX to 90 miles east of Junction TX.
