 SEL6 URGENT - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED Severe Thunderstorm Watch Number 346 NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK 235 PM CDT Tue May 28 2024 The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a * Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of Southeast Colorado Southwest Kansas Eastern New Mexico Oklahoma Panhandle Texas Panhandle * Effective this Tuesday afternoon and evening from 235 PM until 1000 PM CDT. * Primary threats include... Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 2.5 inches in diameter likely Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible SUMMARY...Thunderstorms will develop off the higher terrain of northeast NM, and along an old boundary extending southward. These storms will spread eastward through the afternoon and evening, posing a risk of large hail and damaging winds. The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 70 statute miles east and west of a line from 25 miles northeast of Lamar CO to 65 miles southwest of Amarillo TX.
