 SEL1 URGENT - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED Severe Thunderstorm Watch Number 261 NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK 435 PM CDT Sun May 19 2024 The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a * Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of Northeast Colorado Northwest Kansas Southwest Nebraska * Effective this Sunday afternoon and evening from 435 PM until 900 PM CDT. * Primary threats include... Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 2 inches in diameter possible Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible SUMMARY...Isolated to scattered thunderstorms will likely develop through the remainder of the afternoon and early evening. The stronger storms will be capable of severe gusts and large hail. A tornado cannot be ruled out with any cyclonic supercell. The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 50 statute miles north and south of a line from 40 miles north northwest of Burlington CO to 65 miles east of Mccook NE.
