Get ready for a stormy day in Texas! Numerous thunderstorms are expected to roll through the southeastern regions of the state today and tonight, bringing high chances of rain. Individual storms will be moving east/northeast, but watch out for a line of storms progressing southward this evening, which will gradually bring an end to rain chances overnight into Saturday morning.
Today’s forecast includes the potential for strong to severe storms, with the possibility of large hail (up to baseball size!), damaging wind gusts, and a low tornado risk. Please stay alert, as heavy rainfall could lead to flash flooding, street flooding, and rapidly rising creeks and streams. The good news? Saturday is shaping up to be much calmer across Texas, though some storm chances remain in the Rio Grande Valley and Deep South Texas into the evening.
