Nearing a record high today

FORECAST HIGHLIGHTS

  • NEAR-RECORD HEAT: Another cloudy start will give way to mostly sunny & warm conditions
  • RODEO: It’ll be a hot first weekend of the Stock Show & Rodeo
  • COLD FRONT: A front will stall near the area to start next week

FORECAST

Good morning! The only change from today’s forecast when compared to yesterday is that clouds should clear quicker. In other words, expect more sun this afternoon and slightly warmer temperatures. With a high of 81°, we’ll be within range of the record high of 83° in 1925.

RODEO

With the Stock Show & Rodeo officially underway, know that the first several days will be warm, including the weekend. High temperatures will be in the 80s through Sunday. Other than some morning drizzle, rain stays out of the forecast, for now. Expect plenty of sunshine, too, during the afternoons.

COLD FRONT QUESTIONS

A cold front will stall just north of the area on Sunday. This will make for a very tricky temperature forecast. Areas in the Hill Country could be cool, while areas just south of the boundary, including San Antonio, are forecast to be warm. On Monday, the front will slowly seep farther south, likely bringing cooler temperatures and potentially some rain chances. With the front stalling, know that the temperature forecast could change day to day, depending on where it sets up. Check back with us!
