CHRISTMAS EVE (DAYTIME)

Good morning! We’ll be monitoring visibility this morning, with the possibility of some patchy fog around San Antonio. Visibility could occasionally drop below a quarter of a mile. Then, with some sun this afternoon, it’ll turn into a warm, somewhat humid day. Temperatures are forecast to reach the upper-70s. Rain will generally stay out of the forecast until late this evening and tonight.

TONIGHT

A weak front will be enough to kick up a broken line of storms this evening and tonight. The threat for storms will be along and east of I-35, between 8pm and 2am. San Antonio will sit on the western edge of this threat, but will need to be on the lookout for storm activity. Gusty winds will be the main issue, while hail cannot be ruled out with the stronger storms. These storms will push toward the coast after midnight and away from the area.

CHRISTMAS DAY

It’ll be slightly cooler and less humid behind the weak front for Christmas Day. Cloud cover may linger for a while, too, keeping temperatures down a bit. Expect a high near 70°, with dry conditions.

NEXT CHANCE OF RAIN

A brief window for showers or possible a storm returns on Thursday. However, the odds of seeing rain on Thursday have dropped some. The best chance to see rain would be early in the day, with clearing by the afternoon.

WARM THROUGH NEW YEARS EVE

The forecast continues to trend above average with respect to temperatures through the end of the year. Beyond Thursday, rain stays out of the forecast.

Have a great day and a Merry Christmas!
