FORECAST
Good morning! There’s ALOT to talk about this week and Mother Nature will keep you on your toes. First things first… it’s foggy. A Dense Fog Advisory is in effect in San Antonio until 9am. Visibility will be severely reduced in spots, so take it slow this morning. Then, skies clear and it’ll turn into a warm day. Highs will be near 80°, with lots of sun.
A cold front arrives tonight. It’ll blow through with gusty winds and provide a significant cool-down. When you wake up tomorrow, temperatures will be in the 40s and we’ll likely be dealing with a wind chill value in the low-40s. Despite mostly sunny conditions, we’ll only see a high around 60° tomorrow. That’s a 20° adjustment from Monday.
Now to what may be the biggest impact of the front: a possible freeze Wednesday morning. As winds calm and skies clear, temperatures will plummet. San Antonio *could* see its first freeze of the season, although it’ll be a close call. Outlying areas, outside the metro, will have higher odds of dipping to 32°. This is NOT a 4p’s situation. The freeze will be brief and light, but you’ll definitely want to bring in sensitive plants and your pets, and make sure the kids have big coats for school Wednesday morning.
From there, we’ll see a warm up by the end of the week and more clouds by the weekend.
