There are six days until Christmas, and many people are curious about the weather forecast for next week. Fortunately, we have the answers! A cool front moved through Texas yesterday, and temperatures will gradually rise over the next several days. This weekend, an arctic air mass will affect the eastern third of the United States, resulting in much colder air moving across the eastern part of Texas. As a result, the coolest daytime temperatures will be found in this area, with highs expected in the upper 40s and 50s. The rest of Texas will experience warmer afternoons, with temperatures reaching the upper 50s, 60s, and 70s through the weekend.
From Monday to Wednesday (including Christmas Day), high temperatures will range from the 60s to the 70s, with some areas even seeing lower 80s. Increasing cloud cover and rising moisture levels will lead to a chance of light rain and drizzle returning to South Texas on Sunday. Thunderstorm chances will increase across the eastern half of Texas on Monday night and continue through Tuesday. At this time, Christmas Day is expected to be mainly dry across Texas, with highs in the 60s, 70s, and 80s. Another storm system may arrive around December 27th.
