FORECAST
Good morning and happy Monday!
It’s a cooler start to the day thanks to a weak cool front that pushed through the area yesterday. While dewpoints are lower, a few sprinkles/light showers can’t be ruled out this morning and later on today, but anything found should generally be light and relatively low coverage.
Expect high temperatures in the low-to-mid 50s under cloudy skies. It also could be a bit breezy at times, too, with winds out of the northeast at 10 to 15 miles per hour, gusting upwards of 20 miles per hour at times.
More humidity quickly returns by Tuesday, leading to a few damp mornings in the foreseeable future with patchy fog and drizzle developing. Highs stay in the 50s Tuesday, but will rebound to near 70° as early as Wednesday.
We’ll start to see an uptick in rain coverage by midweek as an upper-level disturbance approaches from the west. Best chances currently reside on Thursday (60%), before the system pushes through and we clear things out by Friday and into next weekend.
Numbers aren’t fully set in stone just yet, but it’s currently looking like rainfall totals in the 0.5″ – 1.5″ range will certainly be a possibility by the time all is said and done, Higher totals will generally be found farther north, and lower totals farther south.
More updates to come! Until then — have a great day and a great week. ~ Mia
