We’re expecting an impactful winter storm to arrive in several regions of Texas starting Wednesday, peaking on Thursday, and wrapping up by Friday morning. Areas in the northwestern and northern halves of Texas should prepare for accumulating snow and ice. There’s a good chance we’ll see significant snow accumulations exceeding four inches in the Big Country, Concho Valley, Texoma, and North Texas, which will lead to hazardous travel conditions across the northern third and parts of Western Texas from Thursday into Friday.
Most Likely Snowfall Accumulations (They WILL CHANGE!)
While we are confident that this winter storm will be significant, there are still some uncertainties about where the freezing line will be (where snow turns into rain) and where the heaviest snow (up to 10 inches or more) may occur. Be sure to join Baldy-in-Chief David Reimer for a video discussion below on for the latest on our upcoming winter storm!
