FORECAST
Good morning! Dry air has settled into the area, allowing temperatures to drop into the 40s. It’ll be a bit chilly to start, but we’ll end up with beautiful weather this afternoon. Expect full sun today.
WESTERN HERITAGE PARADE AND CATTLE DRIVE
Festivities will get underway with a 5k at 9am at Milam Park. It’ll be close to perfect for runners, with temperatures in the low-40s. Once the sun comes up, we’ll see a rapid warm-up and we should be in the low-60s by the time the Western Heritage Parade and Cattle Drive gets started at 10:55am. You may want a light jacket.
WEEKEND IN GENERAL
I’ll keep this short and sweet: it’ll be beautiful. Highs in the 70s, lows in the 40s, with low humidity.
INCREASE IN HUMIDITY NEXT WEEK
By Monday, humidity will make a return. That means some fog and morning clouds will be around early next week. Rainfall, unfortunately, remains elusive, with only small chances in the extended forecast.
DROUGHT CONTINUES
With that in mind, the latest drought monitor shows an increase in the drought situation, despite recent rainfall. As of today, South Central Texas has not been drought-free since 2021. Have a great weekend!
