URGENT - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED Tornado Watch Number 607 NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK 435 PM EDT Tue Aug 6 2024 The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a * Tornado Watch for portions of Southeast North Carolina Northeast South Carolina Coastal Waters * Effective this Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday morning from 435 PM until 100 AM EDT. * Primary threats include... A couple tornadoes possible SUMMARY...Thunderstorms will continue to track inland and affect the watch area this evening. Favorable wind shear will maintain a risk of isolated tornadoes at the activity moves ashore. The tornado watch area is approximately along and 30 statute miles either side of a line from 50 miles west southwest of Myrtle Beach SC to 20 miles southeast of New Bern NC.
