Scattered large hail likely with isolated very large hail events to 2 inches in diameter possible Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph likely SUMMARY...A cluster of intense storms over northern Mexico will
track eastward into the watch area tonight, posing a risk of locally
damaging winds and hail for the next several hours. The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 45
statute miles east and west of a line from 65 miles north northeast
of Del Rio TX to 55 miles east southeast of Del Rio TX. For a

to develop this afternoon into the early evening. Supercells
capable of large to giant hail will be possible. As storms mature
into the early evening, a tornado risk may also develop for an hour
or two as storms move into richer moisture over parts of the Pecos
Valley. A cluster of severe storms may evolve towards the mid to
late evening with an increasing risk for severe gusts accompanying
