In a recent study, paleontologists announced their discovery of an ancient mammal that lived around 70-75 million years ago in Rangely, Colorado.

A broad area of low pressure over the southern Caribbean Sea is forecast to spawn an independent low-pressure system on its eastern flank. That disturbance looks likely to rotate north and west, so it's in the vicinity of Jamaica early in the week.

NASA has successfully reconnected with the Voyager 1 spacecraft after a brief interruption in communications. The spacecraft is now using a transmitter that has not been used for communications since 1981.
