210 PM EDT Mon Aug 5 2024 The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a * Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of Northeast Massachusetts Southwest Maine Southern New Hampshire Eastern New York Southern Vermont * Effective this Monday afternoon and evening from 210 PM until 800 PM EDT. * Primary threats include... Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph likely Isolated large hail events to 1 inch in diameter possible SUMMARY...Thunderstorms have begun to form along a corridor from
near Albany, NY into southern New Hampshire. This activity will
likely persist through the afternoon, posing a risk of locally
damaging wind gusts and hail. The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 40
statute miles north and south of a line from 40 miles west of Albany
NY to 25 miles east northeast of Portsmouth NH. For a complete

Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible Isolated large hail events to 1 inch in diameter possible SUMMARY...Scattered thunderstorms are expected to intensify across
the watch area through the afternoon. The strongest cells will pose
a risk of locally damaging winds gusts and perhaps hail. The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 60
statute miles north and south of a line from 30 miles west northwest
