FORECAST
We are officially aboard our roller coaster ride of a week and today’s main concern is fog this morning and the chance for showers and storms today and tonight.
FOGGY MORNING
Expect fog to continue over the next few hours, with visibility below a quarter of a mile.
SHOWERS & STORMS TODAY
When it comes to rainfall, we essentially have two windows for rain today. One starting this morning and lasting through early afternoon and another late tonight into pre-dawn Wednesday. While we don’t expect big rain totals, some places could see up to a half of an inch of rain. Grab an umbrella — and a coat, with temperatures holding around 60° today.
CLEARING & WARM WEDNESDAY
Clouds will clear out by midday tomorrow, setting the stage for well-above-average temperatures. Dry air should push temperatures to near 80°.
MUCH COLDER THURSDAY
A cold front will slide through Wednesday night, dropping temperatures in a big way. By Thursday morning, we’ll fall to near 40°. A north wind will bring wind chill values down into the 30s. Jackets will be needed all day long, with highs only forecast to reach the upper-40s.
COOL FOR VALENTINES DAY
While we will rebound a bit on Friday, mostly cloudy skies will keep conditions cool. You can expect highs in the 50s. By Friday night, fog and drizzle may develop and continue into Saturday morning.
WARM SATURDAY
Warmth returns for the first half of the weekend, as skies once again clear. We’ll be near 80°.
ANOTHER FRONT
Yep. Here we go again. Another strong cold front will give us a 20°+ drop. Know that Sunday is projected to be colder and windy.
