  • COLD FRONT: Remains on track to arrive late Saturday
  • FRIGID FOR MLK MARCH: Temps may dip into the 20s Monday morning

FORECAST

Good morning! You’ll notice quite a bit of high cloudiness today, which will keep temps on the mild side. Highs will reach the mid-50s this afternoon, after a chilly morning.

DAMP WEDNESDAY MORNING

Showers are forecast to develop tonight and reach San Antonio by dawn tomorrow. While the activity is going to be light, wet roads are possible tomorrow morning. The showers should push east by midday. The best odds for rainfall will be south of I-10 and east of I-35. Cloud cover remains fairly thick tomorrow, keeping temps in the 50s.

WARMER THURSDAY THROUGH SATURDAY

We’ll hit a brief quiet stretch, with temperatures warming into the 60s Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. The warmest day may be Saturday, with highs in the upper-60s. However, that’ll be short-lived as a strong cold front will move through late in the day.

COLD FRONT UPDATE

The latest data brings a strong front through late Saturday. Cold air will pour into the area on Sunday, with gusty north winds. A 20° plus drop in high temperatures is likely and by Monday morning, a widespread, hard freeze is possible.

MLK MARCH

Frigid temperatures are forecast for the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. March. Those planning to attend should prepare to dress warm. Temperatures may dip into the 20s, with wind chills even colder than that.

ANY PRECIPITATION?

While we can’t rule out any precipitation at this point, the odds remain low — mainly during the Monday through Wednesday timeframe of next week. We should get some clarification in the coming days.
