Eastern Texas Under Threat Of Severe Storms Saturday Morning & Afternoon

Texas Storm Chasers Baldy-in-Chief David Reimer has a evening update on the potential for severe storms Saturday morning into Saturday afternoon. This will be a threat that begins around 7-9AM Saturday just east of Interstate 35 with large hail and localized damaging winds possible. Individual storms may develop in Southeast Texas, and closer to the Louisiana state line throughout the morning and afternoon hours. Those individual storms, from mid-morning through the afternoon hours may pose an increasing risk of producing a tornado.

Like Thursday, a line of storms will move from west to east Saturday afternoon across the eastern third of Texas. Some storms in the line may be severe with large hail, localized damaging winds, and spin-up tornadoes. The threat of severe weather, and storms, will move east of Texas by 5 PM, if not a bit sooner. Significant severe weather, including tornadoes, are expected in Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama on Saturday and Saturday night.
