Numerous showers and storms will continue across the western half of Texas this morning, with snow accumulating in the northwestern Texas Panhandle. Rain chances will begin spreading east to I-35 this afternoon.
There is a conditional risk of a few supercell thunderstorms this afternoon and early evening in North-Central Texas, including D/FW and Waco. Strong low-level wind shear may juxtapose (be located with) enough instability to support rotating thunderstorms. A couple of tornadoes are not out of the question, but this isn’t a sure-fire guarantee. Nevertheless, we’ll be on guard for the potential of a few tornado warnings along the I-35 corridor in North-Central Texas this afternoon and early evening. Storms will be moving north/northeast.

An arcing line of thunderstorms will move from west to east across North Texas, Central Texas, Brazos Valley, Northeast Texas, and East Texas this afternoon into late tonight. A dry slot will limit overall rain chances and totals for the Hill Country and South-Central Texas. Rain chances will mostly end in Texas tomorrow morning as activity moves east of Texas. Saturday afternoon through at least Tuesday look dry, with a warming trend each subsequent day.
