Near record-high temperatures will continue unabated this weekend across the southeastern half of Texas. The only interruption will be morning doses of fog. Like yesterday’s round, today’s fog will dissipate by 10 AM, and Saturday morning’s fog will likely do the same.
A cool front will bring north winds and comparatively cooler temperatures to the northwestern half of Texas later today and Saturday. Sadly, no precipitation is expected to occur. A few showers are possible on Saturday afternoon in the Rio Grande Valley and Lower Texas Gulf Coast. Wildfire danger will remain very high statewide through early next week.

A significant weather pattern shift looks to finally end our weeks-long stretch of dry weather around Halloween. Specific timing has to be worked out as we get closer, but a cool front may begin pushing south into Texas on Wednesday or Thursday. With that front, there will hopefully be scattered showers and thunderstorms. It remains too soon to determine if these will impact Halloween festivities, but Mother Nature may try to add some fright to the weather forecast!
Have a great weekend, and God Bless! I’ll be back Monday morning with a new Texas Weather Roundup.
