Texas Weather: Morning Fog and Record High Temperatures

Record high temperatures for late October are expected again today. Dense fog in the Coastal Plains, Southeast Texas, Golden Triangle, and Coastal Bend will lift by late morning. We expect another round of dense fog Thursday morning across the southeastern third of Texas. Tomorrow’s fog will likely also impact South Texas, the Hill Country, Central Texas, and the Brazos Valley. Like this morning, the fog may be dense at times and will burn off by late morning.

Little rain is expected in Texas over the next five days. A rogue shower or two can’t be ruled out in the eastern third of the state tomorrow and Friday. We won’t see rain chances return for another seven to nine days until a significant weather pattern shift occurs. A modest cool front will knock high temperatures back down into the 70s and 80s for the northwest half of Texas in a couple of days. Otherwise, we anticipate hot weather (by October standards) to continue unabated through the weekend.
