Texas’ High Temperatures back into the 80s/90s with Little Hope of Rain

Summer weather has returned to Texas and will likely stick around through the final days of October. There is no sign of rain across most of Texas over the next seven days. Scattered showers and storms are expected in the Texas Panhandle and, to a lesser extent, in West Texas through the afternoon as a weak front moves across the regions. No appreciable cool down is expected, and most folks won’t get rain. This front will not bring rain or appreciable weather changes to other regions in Texas.

Above-average temperatures and below-average rain chances will continue across Texas over the next seven days. High temperatures will be back in the upper 80s to lower 90s for most folks this week. Due to worsening drought, wildfire danger will be on the high side.
