 SEL5 URGENT - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED Severe Thunderstorm Watch Number 375 NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK 320 PM CDT Sun Jun 2 2024 The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a * Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of Northeast Colorado Western and Central Nebraska * Effective this Sunday afternoon and evening from 320 PM until 1100 PM CDT. * Primary threats include... Scattered damaging winds and isolated significant gusts to 80 mph likely Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 2.5 inches in diameter likely A tornado or two possible SUMMARY...Scattered thunderstorms are forecast to continue to develop and intensify over the Nebraska Panhandle and northeast Colorado and move east into central Nebraska this evening. A few supercells and severe thunderstorm clusters are expected with large to very large hail, severe gusts (60-80 mph), and perhaps a tornado. A forward-propagating linear cluster of storms will probably evolve this evening with the main threat becoming severe gusts. The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 80 statute miles north and south of a line from 35 miles south southwest of Scottsbluff NE to 30 miles northeast of Burwell NE.
