 SEL3 URGENT - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED Severe Thunderstorm Watch Number 373 NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK 225 PM CDT Sun Jun 2 2024 The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a * Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of North and North-Central Texas * Effective this Sunday afternoon and evening from 225 PM until 800 PM CDT. * Primary threats include... Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 2 inches in diameter possible Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible SUMMARY...A broken linear cluster of thunderstorms will continue to move east-southeast across north-central and north Texas this afternoon into the early evening. The stronger downdrafts will be capable of severe outflow winds (60-70 mph). A few of the stronger thunderstorms will potentially yield a large hail risk. The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 35 statute miles north and south of a line from 40 miles west northwest of Abilene TX to 50 miles east southeast of Dallas TX.
