URGENT - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED Tornado Watch Number 667 NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK 1240 PM CDT Wed Sep 11 2024 The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a * Tornado Watch for portions of Southern Louisiana Far Southern Mississippi Coastal Waters * Effective this Wednesday afternoon and evening from 1240 PM until 1100 PM CDT. * Primary threats include... Several tornadoes likely SUMMARY...Hurricane Francine will continue to approach the southern Louisiana coast and move inland as it progresses northeastward across the region through tonight. The potential for tornadoes is expected to increase through the afternoon and early evening. The tornado watch area is approximately along and 70 statute miles north and south of a line from 60 miles west southwest of Houma LA to 40 miles east southeast of Gulfport MS.
