A severe thunderstorm in northern Alabama on Saturday interrupted a gathering in the town of Hillsboro. According to a witness, the pop-up storm arrived without warning, causing attendees to run for shelter.

2 men drown in South Carolina as Hurricane Ernesto produces rip currents along East Coast
Two men, aged 65 and 73, died after being caught in rip currents on Hilton Head on Friday, according to the Beaufort County Sheriffâs Office.
