SpaceX to adjust spacecraft landings to prevent debris from falling over populated areas

After a series of incidents where SpaceX debris was reported to have impacted land, the private space company announced it would move Dragon recovery operations back to the Pacific. NASA said it is aware of at least five instances where debris that was designed to disintegrate made it to Earth’s surface. Fortunately, none of these events resulted in human injuries or significant property damage.
