Typhoon Gaemi, which was known as Typhoon Carina by the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), killed at least a dozen people throughout Asia. Typhoon Gaemi made landfall early Thursday morning with winds comparable to a Category 3 hurricane, according to Taiwan's Central Weather Administration.
