World’s carbon dioxide levels surge faster than ever, NOAA says

According to data released by NOAA and Scripps Institution of Oceanography at the University of California San Diego, measurements of carbon dioxide taken at Hawaii’s Mauna Loa Atmospheric Baseline Observatory in May averaged 426.9 parts per million (ppm). Rising concentrations of carbon dioxide are considered one of the main drivers of global warming.
