235 AM CDT Sun May 26 2024 The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a * Tornado Watch for portions of Northern Arkansas Southern Illinois Western Kentucky South-central and southeastern Missouri Northwestern Tennessee * Effective this Sunday morning from 235 AM until 1000 AM CDT. * Primary threats include... A few tornadoes and a couple intense tornadoes possible Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph likely Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 2.5 inches in diameter possible SUMMARY...Severe thunderstorms (including a supercell with a history
of tornadoes now just west of the AR part of the watch) should
continue to shift eastward and develop anew, affecting areas from
the Ozarks toward the lowest Ohio Valley through midmorning. All
severe hazards are possible. The tornado watch area is approximately along and 70 statute miles
north and south of a line from 25 miles south of Springfield MO to

Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 3 inches in diameter possible Isolated damaging wind gusts to 60 mph possible SUMMARY...Thunderstorms have developed along a dryline over the
eastern Permian Basin area, with additional towers evident to the
south in satellite imagery. The environment supports significant
(2+ inch) damaging hail with any storms that can persist, as
convection shifts eastward toward the Concho Valley region. Though
capping strengthens eastward from the dryline, isolated severe gusts
also may occur. The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 60
statute miles east and west of a line from 40 miles southwest of San
Angelo TX to 55 miles north northeast of San Angelo TX. For a

Scattered damaging winds and isolated significant gusts to 75 mph likely Scattered large hail events to 1.5 inches in diameter possible SUMMARY...Scattered thunderstorms mainly in the form of strong to
severe clusters will likely develop east across the Watch area
tonight near the terminus of a low-level jet stream. The stronger
bands of storms will be capable of severe gusts. A few elevated
storms may be capable of a large hail risk. The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 40
statute miles north and south of a line from 25 miles west southwest

A few tornadoes likely with a couple intense tornadoes possible Widespread damaging winds and isolated significant gusts to 80 mph likely Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 2 inches in diameter likely SUMMARY...Scattered clusters of severe thunderstorms, including
supercells and linear bands, are forecast to move east into the
Watch area this evening and persist into the overnight. The
stronger supercells will potentially be capable of a tornado risk,
in addition to a threat for large hail and severe gusts. Eventual
upscale growth into one or more severe linear bands of storms is
expected and the threat will primarily transition to a risk for
damaging gusts and perhaps a couple of tornadoes. The tornado watch area is approximately along and 75 statute miles
east and west of a line from 20 miles east northeast of Leavenworth
KS to 35 miles west southwest of Fayetteville AR. For a complete
